The Product Compliance Engineer supports Delta Faucet Company's commitment to delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality products by ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, certification, and performance standard requirements. This role partners closely with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Regulatory Affairs to identify and mitigate compliance risks, support successful product launches, maintain product certifications, and continuously improve compliance processes and data management systems. The position offers significant opportunities to develop expertise in product compliance, regulatory requirements, industry standards, certification programs, and risk-based decision-making while supporting the successful launch of compliant products.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of company-wide product compliance policies, processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and mitigate product compliance risks associated with new product development, engineering changes, sourcing decisions, and manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the development and execution of product compliance validation plans to confirm conformance with applicable regulations, certifications, listings, and performance standards.
- Manage assigned certification and product listing activities, ensuring submissions, renewals, testing, and supporting documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Support the maintenance, accuracy, and integrity of compliance-related data within business systems, including SAP and other digital platforms.
- Monitor changes to product regulations, industry standards, certification requirements, and regulatory initiatives; communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in compliance investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives related to product compliance issues.
- Support training and awareness efforts related to product compliance requirements, standards, certifications, and regulatory obligations.
- Participate in industry associations, standards development organizations, and certification body activities as assigned to represent company interests and support professional development.
- Continuously build knowledge of regulations, performance standards, product certifications, product designs, manufacturing processes, and compliance best practices through training, collaboration, and hands-on experience.
Education & Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or a related STEM discipline, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with product performance standards, certifications, regulatory requirements, testing laboratories, or quality systems.
- Experience with plumbing products, water quality requirements, electrical standards, or product compliance programs is preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and make sound recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts and apply them in practical business situations.
- Self-motivated learner with a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo constructively.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical standards, codes, regulations, and certification requirements.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable working with complex technical and compliance-related data sets.
- Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office applications, data analysis tools, and enterprise systems; SAP and PowerBI experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability and willingness to participate in international conference calls and meetings across multiple time zones.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally.
