Job Description:

Product Compliance, Nutrition & Labeling Analyst (Contract - Remote U.S.)

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Compliance, Nutrition & Labeling Analyst to support a high-impact team focused on nutrition, labeling, and regulatory compliance for a large portfolio of consumer food products.

In this role, you will support the label development process and partner closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure all product specifications and labels meet regulatory guidelines and quality standards.

What You'll Do

  • Support the label development process from specification through first production approvals
  • Perform data entry and workflow management of technical product information within web-based systems
  • Review product labels and artwork to ensure compliance with FDA/USDA regulations and quality standards
  • Conduct nutrition data analysis and assist with regulatory and technical questions
  • Partner with suppliers to collect and validate product specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Follow up on outstanding specifications and drive timely completion of deliverables
  • Communicate specification and compliance updates to internal stakeholders
  • Support overall technical information management and reporting
  • Contribute to additional ad hoc and process-driven tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, Quality Assurance, or related field

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in:

  • Food labeling and regulatory compliance

  • Label and artwork review for food products

  • Strong knowledge of FDA and USDA labeling regulations

  • Experience with FDA menu labeling requirements

  • Background in food manufacturing, food compliance, or related industry

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, project-based environment

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

  • Experience with Genesis software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems
  • Strong project management and workflow coordination skills
  • General understanding of product development and commercialization processes
  • Experience with retailer specification systems
  • Exposure to Adobe Acrobat Professional
