At Maersk, we are rethinking how energy is traded, managed, and consumed across our global operations. Maersk Oil Trading manages an expanding portfolio of marine fuels, distillates, crude, and emerging low-carbon alternatives such as methanol, LNG, and biofuels traded from Copenhagen, Singapore, and the Americas. The Product Control team is the custodian of the traded P&L, giving the business daily transparency over trading economics, market exposures, and performance. We are looking for a Student Assistant to support the team in Copenhagen across data, analytics, and documentation.
This is a genuine learning role. You will work alongside experienced product controllers, see how a trading floor measures and reports its performance, and build practical skills in data handling, reporting, and control processes. It is well suited to a student in finance, economics, data, or a related field who wants hands-on exposure to commodity trading and to grow their analytical and technical toolkit in a supportive team. The role is cross-team by design: you will support colleagues across P&L production, Systems & Process, and Market Risk, which gives broad exposure to how the whole function fits together
