ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a PDM Specialist for an engineering and manufacturing client. This would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in product data management, ERP systems, and CAD documentation looking to further their career in engineering operations. • Manage and maintain the Engineering Vault, ensuring files are properly organized, current, and accessible.
• Prepare, upload, and update engineering data-including drawings and models-within the ERP system with accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain the drawing pool and QMS controlled documents, ensuring correct versions are available and current.
• Create, revise, and analyze part numbers and Bills of Materials for engineering drawings and ERP/MRP systems.
• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D production drawings using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD/DraftSight) from specifications, sketches, and customer layout drawings.
• Train team members on the use of controlled documents, ERP data, and PDM systems.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation of component specifications, tolerances, requirements, and manufacturing methods.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency with PDM software; SolidWorks PDM Professional strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and translate technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering documentation standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple documentation streams simultaneously.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate across departments and build working relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on CAD drafting or modeling experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or DraftSight).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and BOM management.
• Background in a regulated or quality-managed manufacturing environment.
