Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload
Ongoing operational support for our Grid Resiliency portfolio, managing PSPS application build in Foundry Palantir.
Software code development, code management and reuse; high quality, modular code within Foundrys Code Repositories & Function repositories , including:
Implementing reusable transform logic and shared libraries
Managing version control, branching strategies, and code reviews
Ensuring code is optimized for Foundrys distributed execution environment
Applying best practices for maintainability and long-term reuse
Implementation and/or configuration of Palantir software;
Pipeline and ETL maintenance process and quality control
Ontology maintenance including access, change process and governance
Implementation and Integration configuration of SaaS and public cloud-based PaaS solutions, where applicable;
Development, configuration, integration and support for supporting Application System components required to deliver business processes and functional (e.g., logical layers of databases, data marts, logical and physical data warehouses, middleware, configuration of analytics and BI reporting tools);
Provide Foundry overall architectural governance expertise, and guidance including ontology design and governance, pipeline and dag execution architecture aligning with standards
Application System configuration and collaboration with infrastructure service provider required to provide application access to external/third parties
Development, enhancement, integration and maintenance of workshop, dashboard, pipeline builder, Quiver dashboard, automations, to ensure end to end business functionality is maintained;
Collaboration with Third Party Providers such as infrastructure service provider and Edison enterprise public cloud providers
All activities required to support business processes and to deliver the required application and business functions to End Users in an integrated service delivery model across our enterprise support model. (e.g., plan, deliver, run).
Application Maintenance Services, including Major enhancements, new application system development, or system projects. The activities associated with maintaining and repairing existing Application System errors, defects, bugs, routine operations (e.g., break/fix services, patch releases to address multiple known errors, defects or bugs) or developing and deploying Enhancements in accordance with approved Services. document and maintain methodologies, policies, processes, OLAs and operational interaction models and RACIs for the parties involved in the ADM activities.
Achieve the Service Levels and receive Services in accordance with the mandated PSPS wildfire guidelines, and CPUC guidelines.
Must support the underlying compute agents, hosting infrastructure and operational services required for Palantir foundry to run reliably,
Must possess Palantir Foundry architecture expertise including ontology design and governance, pipeline and DAG execution architecture, application and hosting infrastructure, integration patterns, and deployment lifecycle management to safely modify, enhance, or re\'architect existing Foundry deployments without disrupting ontology\'aligned data flows or downstream applications.
Deliver agile Application maintenance Services, ensuring consistency and integration between Agile/DevOps service delivery methods across plan, deliver and run phases expertise to optimize the operation and functionality of the Application Systems
Drive continual Application System portfolio optimization/rationalization
Must be able to use Foundrys Resource Management application to analyze compute consumption, pipeline execution cost, storage utilization, and workload efficiency, and must provide accurate cost calculations and optimization recommendations based on Foundrys native resource\'tracking capabilities.
