Job Title: Footwear Materials Color Developer
Location: Beaverton, OR
Salary Range: $37-40
Introduction
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for color development in the footwear industry. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and consistent color standards across materials and categories.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5 years of experience in color development, materials development, or product creation
Working knowledge of color theory, color evaluation, and material construction
Familiarity with spectrophotometers, FM100, and digital color tools
Strong organizational skills and comfort with data accuracy and tracking
Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate clearly
Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Material or product development experience with a focus on color development
Experience working with color lab dips, working in color lab, digital and visual color research
Experience with footwear materials (textiles, synthetics, foams, leathers) preferred
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Manage color development and approvals for yarns, skins, and foams
Support color alignment for high-volume materials across suppliers and constructions
Maintain physical and digital color standards libraries
Capture spectro readings and assist with FM100 testing and lab organization
