Amazon Web Services is hiring a Product Design Electrical Engineer with Medium Voltage Switchgear and/or Medium Voltage Transformer experience for our Electrical Products and Services team. The Electrical Products and Services Team is a AWS"s Data Center Engineering global engineering team, responsible for the design and continuous innovation for products used within our rapidly expanding data center footprint.
The Electrical Products and Services team works to design and develop resilient, cost-effective electrical distribution products and systems. As an engineer at Amazon, we are responsible for achieving world class uptime for our customers. We drive continuous advancements and improvements with our designs and communicate technical direction to Senior Leadership. As a product engineer at Amazon, you will be working with other internal groups as well as external groups including engineering service providers, manufacturers, vendors, inspectors, third party testing labs and contractors.
Amazon has a global presence. Travel will be necessary but shouldn't be more than 30%. International support will be part of the job, and some international travel may be necessary. Your contribution could consist of leading international projects and could require developing engineering information packages. An understanding of international electrical product design requirements is helpful but not necessary.
