Description

  • Design and develop hydraulic and pneumatic components, including hose assemblies, fittings, and coupling systems
  • Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and bills of materials using CAD tools
  • Define product requirements including pressure, temperature, and environmental performance criteria
  • Develop manufacturing processes, including crimping and swaging parameters and tooling design
  • Lead product development from concept through validation, testing, and production launch
  • Conduct engineering analysis including material selection, tolerance studies, and stress/thermal evaluation
  • Plan and oversee validation testing such as pressure, burst, leak, and cyclic performance testing
  • Analyze test data and implement design improvements to enhance product performance
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly challenges, providing hands-on technical support
  • Develop work instructions, training materials, and support knowledge transfer to production teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, operations, procurement, and customer-facing teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardize processes across product lines
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities to resolve product issues
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in product design within fluid systems, hose assemblies, or similar mechanical applications
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or similar platforms)
  • Solid understanding of fluid dynamics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Experience designing for manufacturability, including crimping or similar forming processes
  • Familiarity with product testing methods (pressure, burst, impulse, leak testing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards (SAE, ISO, ASTM) is highly desirable
  • Experience working in regulated or high-performance industries such as aerospace or industrial manufacturing preferred
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues in both design and production settings
