Product Development EngineerAs a Product Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining engineering documentation, designing production and test equipment, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance quality and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and assembly documentation.Design and implement production and test fixtures, tooling, and equipment.Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for improved quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.Establish and maintain quality assurance testing and inspection procedures.Perform product and value engineering to improve design and performance.Manage prototype builds, including scheduling, testing, and issue documentation.Identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues, such as fit and alignment, and drive necessary corrections.Support production startup and ensure smooth transfer of engineering information to manufacturing.Evaluate manufacturing methods and recommend process and tooling improvements.Prepare operation sheets outlining assembly sequences and time standards.Essential SkillsProcess development expertise.Mechanical design and engineering skills.Experience with medical devices.Proficiency in validation processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering.5+ years of engineering experience.3+ years of experience in the medical device industry.Experience in process validation and history files management.Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a standard office setting with cubicles, located near the manufacturing floor.
