Tech 1, Product Development Engineering Compensation

The pay for this position is $21.00 – $24.00 per hour

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Tech 1, Product Development Engineering Highlights

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

The required availability for this position is onsite, full-time (Monday–Friday, standard business hours)

Tech 1, Product Development Engineering Responsibilities

• Assist in generating formal test protocols and reports
• Support execution of test protocols and procedures, including operating test equipment and recording measurements
• Collect, maintain, and organize technical data in a reportable format
• Support manufacturing/QC training for test methods and processes
• Track development builds through documentation and manufacturing workflows
• Assist with product development, testing, inspection, and root cause investigations
• Ensure compliance with BD policies, ISO standards, FDA requirements, and safety procedures
• Work in a lab and office environment, including biohazard areas as required

Tech 1, Product Development Engineering Requirements

• Associate’s degree in science, math, or engineering (or currently pursuing a 4-year degree) OR 4+ years of related experience
• Lab experience required
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work with data sheets and technical records
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions under supervision
• Basic math, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods as needed

Tech 1, Product Development Engineering Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environment
• Experience with Excel and Minitab
• Strong technical writing and data reporting skills
• Familiarity with ISO and FDA-regulated environments
