Product Development Manager

Job Description

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, from concept to new product launch, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure product feasibility and market readiness.
  • Work with external manufacturers, formulators, and packaging suppliers to develop products that align with brand standards, performance expectations, sustainability goals, and cost targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contract manufacturers, testing labs, and packaging partners.
  • Support launch readiness through collaboration with marketing, sales, and operations teams on product education, claims support, and inventory planning.
  • Analyze market research and consumer insights to identify opportunities for new products and improvements to existing ones.
  • Develop and manage timelines, budgets, and resources for multiple product development projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch and recommend enhancements as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external partners and suppliers involved in the product development process.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.

The Successful Applicant

  • A strong background in product development within the personal care products industry.
  • 4+ years of product development experience within personal care, beauty, household cleaning, CPG, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of product formulation processes, packaging development, and commercialization workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of market research techniques and consumer behavior analysis.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in the personal care industry.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on quality and innovation.
