As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Elizabethtown, KY plant, you will be a Product Development Technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate supply requirements (manufactured or purchased) from supply base (manufacturing plants, 3rd party suppliers or affiliate plants)
- Establishes priorities for manufacturing production lines and assigned supply base to meet customer (internal or external) requirements
- Create and maintain production schedule to ensure service level and inventory targets are achieved
- Maintain planning, pricing (as required), and other required information for assigned items in ERP system(s)
- Perform root cause analysis to address service level or inventory variances from management plan and initiate and monitor corrective actions
- Assist in source of supply selection (manufacturing plant or supplier) and act as primary interface between Gates customer and source of supply
- Resolves issues with schedule adherence, quality, and price (as applicable) by engaging appropriate internal departments
About You
- Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years or progressive scheduling experience within manufacturing required
- Knowledge and understanding or production, purchasing, and inventory planning
- Prior experience in a high SKU count environment preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Good computer skills with the ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly
- Strong team player; proactively able to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all key functions; builds collaborative relationships
- Excited to work in the office with great teammates
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
