_SUMMARY OF PRIMARY FUNCTION_

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our engineering and testing processes, with primary responsibilities including the execution of test plans and the construction and maintenance of test equipment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in hands-on tasks, possess a strong mechanical aptitude, and demonstrate a commitment to precision and quality. You will contribute by:

_SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES_

Responsibilities:

Prototype & Assembly Support

Build mechanical and electromechanical prototype assemblies from released engineering drawings and documentation.

Route tubing, wiring harnesses, pumps, sensors, stepper motors, and PCBA assemblies.

Support rapid iteration build and configuration changes.

Maintain build documentation and hardware configuration tracking.

Assist engineers during fit, function, and performance evaluations.

Test Execution & Validation

Execute Design Verification Plan.

Operate automated validation systems, endurance test stands, and performance test equipment.

Monitor automated test scripts to ensure proper execution and accurate data capture.

Record detailed test data and observations.

Identify and report deviations, anomalies, or equipment concerns.

Support reliability, stress, environmental, and performance testing activities.

Lab Infrastructure & Equipment Maintenance

Assemble, configure, and maintain laboratory test fixtures and validation stations.

Perform routine calibration and preventive maintenance on test equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems within test setups.

Maintain organized, safe, and compliant lab environments.

Manage inventory of test components and consumables.

Support procurement of lab materials and equipment as needed.

Electronics & Automation Support

Install and replace PCBAs and electronic components.

Demonstrated experience fabricating and terminating wiring harnesses, including crimping, soldering, and connector assembly to IPC standards.

Perform continuity, voltage, and signal verification using diagnostic tools.

Assist with firmware loading and system configuration.

Support troubleshooting of automated test equipment and control systems.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate and controlled test records.

Generate factual test summaries for engineering review.

Document equipment maintenance and calibration activities.

Follow internal quality, safety, and documentation procedures.

_PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:_

Ability to lift to 60 pounds.

Frequent standing and bench work.

Manual dexterity for fine assembly and wiring tasks.

Ability to work safely around mechanical and electrical systems.

_EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION LEVEL, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS_

Associate Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Technology preferred.

Minimum 5 to 8 years hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing low-voltage electrical systems including sensors, motor drivers, relays, power supplies, and control circuits using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and diagnostic instrumentation.

Proficiency in the use of Oscilloscope, Logic analyzer, Signal generator, Multimeter, Bench power supply, Electrical fault tracing tools

Strong mechanical aptitude

Demonstrated troubleshooting capability in technical environments.

Familiarity with technical documentation and test procedure execution.

Attention to detail and commitment to precision.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.

Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment control.

Total Rewards

The starting compensation for this position is $35.00 per hour. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
