    Product Domain Lead - Manufacturing

Remote (Global) | International Travel Required

    Lead a Global Manufacturing Transformation

Weir Group is delivering S4+, one of the most ambitious business transformation programmes in the industrial sector. Built around SAP S/4HANA, S4+ is creating a single global operating model that will transform manufacturing, operations, data, and ways of working across Weir's worldwide business.

We're looking for an experienced Product Domain Lead - Manufacturing to drive the strategy, delivery, and long-term ownership of our Manufacturing domain. This is a rare opportunity to shape global manufacturing processes at scale while influencing the future operating model of a leading engineering organisation.

    The Opportunity

As Product Domain Lead, you will lead the evolution of Weir's manufacturing capabilities across production planning, shop floor execution, quality management, and plant maintenance. You will act as the bridge between business strategy and product delivery, converting strategic goals into a prioritised roadmap that delivers measurable business value.

This is a high-profile leadership role that extends beyond programme delivery and becomes a permanent ownership position within Weir's global operating model.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own and execute the Manufacturing domain strategy, roadmap, and prioritised backlog

    • Lead Product Owners, SMEs, and cross-functional teams across the manufacturing domain

    • Drive adoption of SAP S/4HANA best practice and fit-to-standard principles

    • Enable global process harmonisation across multiple divisions and regions

    • Partner with delivery, architecture, and business leaders to ensure successful outcomes

    • Govern requirements, process decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives

    • Track benefits realisation, adoption, operational performance, and business value

    Domain Scope

You'll oversee global manufacturing capabilities including:

    • SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP)

    • SAP S/4HANA Quality Management (QM)

    • SAP S/4HANA Plant Maintenance (PM)

    • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES/42Q)

    Supporting key manufacturing models including:

    • Make-to-Order (MTO)

    • Make-to-Stock (MTS)

    • Engineer-to-Order (ETO)

    What We're Looking For

    Essential Experience

    • Senior leadership experience within manufacturing, operations, or industrial environments

    • Deep knowledge of production planning, shop floor operations, quality management, and maintenance

    • Proven success leading large-scale business transformation or ERP programmes

    • Strong SAP S/4HANA experience, ideally across manufacturing and operations processes

    • Experience driving global process standardisation and operating model change

    • Ability to lead Product Owners, SMEs, and cross-functional teams in a complex programme environment

    • Strong stakeholder management and strategic decision-making skills

    Desirable

    • Experience within global engineering, mining, industrial, or heavy manufacturing organisations

    • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and product operating models

    • Experience with MES platforms and operational excellence frameworks

    Practicalities

    • Travel / Hours: Global role; some travel and time-zone flexibility required.
    • Role Duration: This is a long-lived role that spans both the S4+ programme phase and ongoing BAU operations.

    Why Join Weir?

    • Influence a global enterprise transformation programme
    • Shape the future of manufacturing across a multinational organisation
    • Lead strategic decision-making at executive level
    • Long-term career opportunity beyond programme delivery
    • Work remotely with international stakeholders and manufacturing sites worldwide

    Location: Remote
    Travel: International travel required
Type: Long-term leadership opportunity spanning transformation delivery and ongoing business ownership

If you're a manufacturing transformation leader who thrives on delivering global change, we'd love to hear from you.
