    Job Summary

    The Product Engineer III is responsible for designing, developing, and launching innovative products from concept through production. This role applies advanced engineering principles to create manufacturable, cost-effective, and high-quality products while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product performance, manufacturing efficiency, and continuous innovation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead new product development (NPI) projects from concept through production.
    • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Value Engineering principles.
    • Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and product specifications.
    • Perform structural analysis, FMEA, material selection, and product validation testing.
    • Support prototype builds, evaluate manufacturability, and implement design improvements.
    • Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Customer Experience teams.
    • Support pilot production builds and resolve manufacturing issues.
    • Improve engineering documentation, design standards, and development processes.
    • Research new materials, construction methods, and product innovations.
    • Promote AI-driven engineering tools and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
    • 7+ years of product or mechanical engineering experience.
    • Experience leading products from concept through production.
    • Proficiency with SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software) and PDM/PLM systems.
    • Strong knowledge of metal, plastic, wood materials, and structural design.
    • Experience with DFM, DFA, Lean Manufacturing, and Value Engineering.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Experience with furniture or consumer products, global manufacturing, structural testing, and sustainability standards is preferred.
