Job Summary
This is not a typical Product Manager role. The scope of knowledge, ownership, and responsibility here goes well beyond what most Product Manager positions demand, and that's by design. We're looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, intellectually curious, and energized by solving complex problems in a fast-moving environment.
Our Product Managers work closely with researchers and engineers to define, organize, and drive products from concept to market. They think analytically, move decisively, and thrive as part of a close-knit, high-accountability team. Each Product Manager owns their product as a business, managing resources, delivery schedules, and marketing across the full product lifecycle and becoming the definitive expert on their product and the research behind it.

Required Qualifications*
Product Manager Lead requirements:
The AI&DHI Product Manager Lead must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 7-9 years of progressive Product/Project Management experience.
Product Manager Senior requirements:
The AI&DHI Product Manager Senior must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive Product/Project Management experience.
In addition to the above requirements, candidates must also possess the following qualifications:
Product design or product management experience
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Experience in developing technical products and technologies
Demonstrated experience in gathering design requirements into a product vision
Demonstrated ability to work with a team to rapidly produce prototypes and iterations
Entrepreneurial experience and familiarity with business issues (or a willingness to learn)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Quantitative analytical abilities
Strong organizational skills
Excellent technical skills

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
