Overview of the Position:


 


Research, analysis, and recommendations to ensure P&L profitability and growth are key elements of this position. The Product Line Specialist will also be responsible for certain aspects of individual part data, inventory and opportunity management. This role will engage in continuous improvement activities resulting in increased efficiency. The Product Line Specialist supports our Product Managers in maintaining our existing portfolio while also driving growth.


 


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


 


· Perform analysis and recommendations in the areas of contract management, inventory management and forecasting, and investment opportunities


· Conduct research on our products, the market, and the competition to provide action recommendations


· Manage part number key attributes, alternate parts, along with supportive documentation


· Manage and enhance Product Management tools and reporting


· Conduct sourcing for strategic bid opportunities


· Oversee Excess and Obsolete inventory reduction efforts


· Assist with various reports and presentations


· Assist Product Managers in achieving overall P&L goal targets


 


 


Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


· Strong ability and skillset in Microsoft Excel to conduct efficient research and analysis of large groups of data.


· Excellent verbal and written communication


· Must work well in team environment with multiple priorities


· Possess business acumen, including basic understanding of financial tools




Education / Experience Requirements:


Bachelor's Degree with 2


Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field. Minimum 2 years' related experience and/or training
