Position Title: Product Management Coordinator
Reporting to: Senior Product Manager
Location: Evansville, IN
Status: Exempt
Job Purpose: Assist the Product Managers in setting the strategic direction, developing and coordinating all marketing activities to support timely product innovation, product availability and achievement of profit goals for assigned product category.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities - Assists with the development and launch of new products and improve existing products
- Proposes potential new product offerings and categories
- Seeks input from Sales Team and presents solutions
- Tracks new product development timelines to ensure timely launch
- Assists with product and packaging specifications
- Maintains awareness of retail marketplace
- Supports Product Managers as requested
- Analyzes the market to provide insight into brand share and market trends
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and engineering regarding new product ideas
- Works closely with Marketing and Sales to proactively market product
- Evaluates promotional plans to ensure that they are aligned with product line strategies
- Assists with preparing sales presentation materials
- Manages product data across all platforms and systems
- Works with digital marketing teams to manage online reviews and organic product placement
- Organizes and manages internal product development spec sheets
- Communicates regularly with Shanghai office to assist with product development
- Creates and manages projects in Asana
- Assists with product business plan submissions with key stakeholders
- Assists in the build, review, and analysis of product samples and prototypes
Qualifications & Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree in business management or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years consumer product management experience, sporting goods industry preferred
- Possesses excellent analytical and planning skills
- Exhibits well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment
- Exhibits problem solving and decision-making abilities
Physical Demands - Sitting, talking and listening at least 2/3 of the time
- Lifting up to 25 pounds
- Stooping and kneeling
- Fine motor coordination
Working Conditions - Office environment
- Occasional international or domestic travel required
