About the Role: This role will serve as a subject matter expert and hands-on leader driving the delivery of enterprise HR systems and integrations that support our global workforce. In this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across ERP platforms (including SAP S/4 HR and Workday) to enhance employee experiences, streamline HR operations, and enable data-driven decision-making for leaders worldwide. • The role supports integration work involving Workday, SAP, and an internal middleware/data hub. • Core responsibilities include: o Partnering with internal requesters (often HR, but not exclusively) o Gathering and refining business requirements o Translating business needs into functional and technical requirements o Validating feasibility with internal technical teams o Partnering with Data Governance to ensure legal and privacy compliance o Handing finalized requirements to developers for execution • The role was repeatedly characterized as similar to a senior/lead Business Analyst, despite the Product Manager title. Responsibilities: You will lead small to medium-scale HR technology initiatives from discovery through post-implementation Hypercare, partnering closely with business stakeholders, DevOps, and external vendors to deliver scalable, reliable solutions. You will act as a skilled, experienced subject matter expert and mentor, solving complex problems, defining clear outcomes, and aligning work to organizational goals while fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team culture. This role matters because it ensures Disney’s HR platforms and integrations effectively support our people, protect data integrity, and enable world-class employee and leader experiences. • Serve as the integration subject matter expert on enterprise HR technology projects from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation and Hypercare support. • Analyze HR system enhancement requests, partnering with business stakeholders to define functional requirements, assess integration challenges, and evaluate global template and site-specific impacts. • Lead test efforts for system enhancements, including test planning, building test sets, coordinating functional and integration testing, tracking completion, managing test issue reports, and overseeing re-testing activities. • Partner with DevOps teams to architect enterprise-scale integrations and extensible applications that support HR, payroll, benefits, and reporting processes. • Lead small to medium-scale projects related to HR system enhancements and implementations, coordinating with business partners and external vendors to ensure milestones, goals, and tasks are delivered on time. • Drive solutioning conversations to determine the best technical approach, assess feasibility within platform lifecycle constraints, and propose viable alternatives when initial requests are not feasible. • Evaluate current HR processes and data flows for efficiency, accuracy, and consistency, recommending and implementing process improvements. • Develop, monitor, and execute test plans for system enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements and system configuration. • Act as a subject matter expert and lead product manager for HR technology, translating complex concepts for diverse audiences and negotiating to align stakeholders on recommended solutions. • Collaborate across HR, technology, and business teams to build strong partnerships, ensure shared understanding of priorities, and foster a team-player environment focused on problem solving and delivery. • Create an inclusive, caring environment where values are lived daily, well-being is supported, and diverse perspectives are encouraged in decision making. Basic Qualifications: • 7+ years of experience in ERP systems, including SAP S/4 HR (HCM, Org, Payroll) and Workday. • Strong foundation in HR technology and processes across HCM, organization management, payroll, benefits, integrations, and reporting. • Demonstrated experience as a subject matter expert and lead, solving complex problems and identifying innovative solutions in technology-driven environments. • Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills, with the ability to explain difficult concepts and influence diverse stakeholders, including senior audiences. • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including customer service, partnership building, and collaboration across matrixed teams. • Proven experience in process improvement and driving continuous optimization of systems and workflows. • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and multi-task in a dynamic, complex organization. • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent follow-through, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and interface with employees at all levels. • Positive, resourceful, and flexible mindset, with the ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player in fast-paced environments.
