About the Role

Fulham Co. Inc. is seeking a Product Manager, General Lighting to own and grow our General Lighting product category, including LED drivers, LED modules, retrofit kits, and general fluorescent ballasts.

This is a high-impact role responsible for category strategy, portfolio performance, and end-to-end product lifecycle management. The Product Manager will translate customer and market needs into clear product direction, prioritize growth opportunities, manage the existing portfolio, and partner with engineering, sales, operations, quality, and marketing to bring winning products to market.

The ideal candidate combines strong business judgment, customer insight, technical fluency, and the ability to turn strategy into action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for the General Lighting portfolio.
  • Manage the full product portfolio across LED drivers, LED modules, retrofit kits, and general fluorescent ballasts, including new products, sustaining products, and portfolio rationalization.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive trends, and convert them into clear product plans and priorities.
  • Build business cases for new product development, including market potential, pricing, margin, investment needs, and launch timing.
  • Define product requirements and work closely with engineering to guide development, validate tradeoffs, and support launch readiness.
  • Prioritize projects and resources to focus the organization on the most valuable opportunities.
  • Partner with sales and key customers to gather market feedback, support major opportunities, and strengthen voice-of-customer input into the roadmap.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, quality, customer support, and marketing to improve execution and product performance.
  • Support pricing, forecasting, product positioning, sales tools, and launch materials for the category.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and take action to improve revenue, margin, market share, and customer satisfaction.
  • Help manage external development partners or contractors when needed to support speed, capacity, or specialized work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of product management, product marketing, or category management experience in lighting, electrical products, power electronics, or other technical hardware products.
  • Proven experience managing products through the full lifecycle, from market definition through launch and ongoing portfolio management.
  • Strong ability to build business cases, prioritize initiatives, and make data-based product decisions.
  • Experience working directly with customers, sales teams, and cross-functional technical teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex inputs into clear actions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfortable working across technical and commercial topics, including product requirements, market positioning, pricing, and forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with one or more of the following: LED drivers, LED modules, retrofit kits, fluorescent ballasts, or related lighting components.
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, OEM, or specification-driven lighting markets.
  • Experience supporting product launches in partnership with global engineering, operations, or outside design resources.
  • Familiarity with product data, forecasting, and business reporting tools.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

  • A clear product roadmap for the General Lighting category that aligns customer needs, business priorities, and engineering capacity.
  • Better prioritization across the portfolio, with clear decisions on where to invest, maintain, simplify, or exit.
  • Stronger customer engagement and market insight feeding into product decisions.
  • Improved execution of new product development and product launches.
  • Measurable progress in category growth, margin, and portfolio focus.

Why Join Fulham Co. Inc.

  • Opportunity to own a strategically important product category with high visibility across the business.
