Position Summary:

The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of the company’s emergency eye wash and shower systems along with our entire safety product offering. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in product management with a focus on customer service, quoting, product quality, and market alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement & Support:
  • Serve as the technical product expert in client meetings, supporting specification reviews, quoting, and post-sale inquiries. Maintain a high standard of customer service and responsiveness.
  • Cost Estimating & Quoting:

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful execution of product strategies and improvements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Use advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) to analyze product performance, SKU productivity, and profitability. Provide reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis:
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory requirements (e.g., ANSI Z358.1) to identify new opportunities and maintain product relevance and compliance.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing:
  • Conduct product training sessions for internal teams, distributors, and end-users. Develop supporting materials that highlight product features, benefits, and applications.
  • New Product Development:
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Sourcing teams to bring new safety products to market, improve existing designs, and identify cost-saving initiatives.
  • Industry Events & Trade Shows:
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer site visits, and industry events to promote product offerings and build relationships.
  • Sales Support & Tactical Execution:
  • Provide field support for the sales team, develop technical collateral, and contribute to business growth initiatives with a strong understanding of product applications and market segments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.), Business, or related discipline required)
  • 5+ years of product management experience in manufacturing, safety equipment, or industrial product environment
  • Strong background in customer service, product quality, and cost estimation/quoting

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
