Product Manager (Accounting or Finance Experience)

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands on Product Managerto lead initiatives that directly impact accounting, receivables, reconciliations, and transactional business processes. This role will serve as the bridge between finance, accounting, operations, and technology teams to ensure business requirements are translated into successful product solutions.

The ideal candidate combines product management expertise with a strong foundation in accounting and finance. You will own initiatives from discovery through delivery, manage priorities across stakeholders, and ensure solutions maintain financial and accounting integrity throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams to gather requirements and document transactional business processes
• Translate accounting and business requirements into product roadmaps, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives
• Lead product initiatives from discovery, planning, development, testing, and deployment
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and cross functional product discussions
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable and compliant business solutions
• Engage senior stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful project execution
• Drive initiatives focused on receivables, reconciliations, credit processes, and other accounting related transactional workflows

Key Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of Product Management experience within transactional, retail, hospitality, finance, or related business environments
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with strong accounting coursework or emphasis
• Working knowledge of accounting principles including journal entries, reconciliations, month end close processes, and receivables
• Proven ability to translate accounting and finance requirements into detailed product requirements and user stories
• Experience owning projects end to end from discovery through implementation
• Strong Agile experience including backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder prioritization
• Demonstrated ability to ask proactive questions, clarify complex requirements, and prevent downstream delivery issues
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills with senior business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA with Accounting or Finance emphasis
• Product Management certifications
• Experience supporting accounting, finance, treasury, receivables, credit, or reconciliation focused applications
• Background working in large enterprise environments
