Job Title: Product Manager Specialized 5 (Footwear Product Management) Location: Beaverton, OR (WHQ) Hybrid (4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote) Duration: 3 Months Contract
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to support a high-performing Footwear Product Creation team focused on Core Running. This position will provide leave coverage and play a key role in managing multiple footwear initiatives across product creation, merchandising, marketing, and development functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong product management expertise, exceptional presentation and communication skills, and a passion for sport and footwear. Candidates with footwear industry experience, athlete-focused product knowledge, and running category exposure will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Support the end-to-end footwear product creation process from concept through commercialization.
Manage and coordinate multiple product initiatives simultaneously across cross-functional teams.
Partner closely with Product Creation, Merchandising, Marketing, Design, Testing, and Development teams.
Create and deliver executive-level product presentations and product strategy decks using Keynote.
Support product line planning, product briefs, and new product opportunities.
Gather and synthesize athlete, consumer, and marketplace insights to inform product decisions.
Analyze market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities.
Assist in driving product creation processes for new footwear models and seasonal initiatives.
Manage product information, sample tracking, and critical milestone deliverables.
Ensure alignment and communication across upstream and downstream partners throughout the product lifecycle.
Support footwear storytelling through product positioning, color, material, and graphic strategies.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Product Management or a closely related field such as Consumer Research, Marketing Research, Merchandising, or Product Creation.
Strong experience building high-level presentations and product decks using Keynote.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working across cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Footwear industry experience combined with product management experience.
Experience supporting running, performance sports, or athletic products.
Retail industry experience.
Knowledge of footwear product creation and development processes.
Understanding of consumer insights, athlete insights, and market trends.
Passion for sport and athlete-focused product innovation.
Bachelor's degree preferred (not required).
