Product Owner 3

Location: Peoria, IL (Hybrid – approximately 3 days onsite per week)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $68–$71/hr

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to support AI assistant and software platform initiatives across multiple engineering teams. This role serves as the bridge between engineering, stakeholders, field users, and customers, helping drive product priorities, software enhancements, platform improvements, and successful delivery of business objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a software product, cloud platform, or technology background who enjoys working cross-functionally, gathering customer feedback, prioritizing requirements, and helping teams deliver meaningful solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers to define and prioritize product initiatives.
• Coordinate software enhancements, platform updates, product changes, and issue resolution efforts.
• Gather, document, and communicate customer and field feedback to development teams.
• Manage software requests, defects, change requests, and product support activities.
• Support product implementation, adoption, integration, and ongoing platform improvements.
• Work closely with development teams, testing teams, and business partners throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), requirements gathering, and validation activities.
• Monitor product performance and help identify opportunities to expand product usage and value.
• Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5–7+ years of relevant experience, or 8–10+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience working with software products, technology platforms, or cloud-based solutions.
• Strong product ownership, product management, or program management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile or SDLC environment.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AI, AI assistant, or intelligent platform initiatives.
• Background in cloud software, software-as-a-service (SaaS), or enterprise software products.
• Knowledge of software change request management and software problem management processes.
• Experience with software integration, platform support, and customer-facing technology solutions.
• Strong business analysis and user acceptance testing (UAT) experience.
