Job Title: Software Engineer 4 / Technical Product Owner (Documentation & Delivery)

Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Contract Length: 12 months (strong potential to extend to 24 months; possible conversion)

Pay Rate: $60 -$70

Top Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in technical writing, product support, or project delivery
  • 2+ years of Product Owner experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience creating technical documentation (APIs, user guides, developer-facing content)

Plusses:

  • Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech environments
  • Certifications such as CSPO, Scrum, PMP, or similar
  • Experience supporting developer tools or engineering platforms
  • Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Experience in content strategy, governance, and knowledge management

Job Summary:

In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute documentation strategy across assigned product areas
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including user guides, job aids, FAQs, and API documentation
  • Manage documentation repositories using Confluence and SharePoint
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure accuracy
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, PI planning, and backlog refinement
  • Create and manage user stories and documentation-related tasks in Jira
  • Ensure documentation aligns with product updates, releases, and roadmap changes
  • Apply user-centered design principles to improve content usability and effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities for content reuse and drive documentation standardization
  • Support delivery timelines by managing multiple documentation initiatives concurrently
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and end users to enhance product understanding and adoption
