A leading manufacturing organization in the paper and packaging industry is seeking a Product Performance Manager to drive quality strategy, process improvement, and customer satisfaction at a high-performing mill operation.
This is a high-visibility leadership role where you will own the Quality Management System (QMS), lead cross-functional performance initiatives, and directly impact product quality, cost, and customer experience.
What You'll Own:
- Serve as the site's QMS Champion, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and continuous improvement
- Lead development and execution of quality metrics, KPIs, and performance initiatives
- Drive root cause analysis and structured problem solving (Six Sigma, etc.) to reduce cost of quality
- Partner with operations to resolve process and product quality issues
- Lead all customer-facing quality interactions, including issue resolution and site visits
- Oversee audits, SOPs, and quality documentation to ensure compliance and consistency
- Manage and develop a high-performing quality team (engineers, technicians, frontline leaders)
- Act as the central liaison across operations, customers, and corporate partners
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, with quality ownership
- Strong experience with:
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Six Sigma / structured problem solving
- Root cause analysis and KPI-driven improvement
- Knowledge of paper manufacturing and product convertibility strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external customers
