Summary:
Apply engineering principles to assess and resolve product and process issues throughout the lifecycle
Perform root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design non-conformances
Research and resolve technical, operational, and quality issues not addressed at the customer level
Identify, document, and communicate deviations impacting design intent and safety; recommend and manage resolutions
Develop and implement product and process improvements
Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in design reviews
Represent engineering during production and post-production activities
Ensure supplier and partner compliance with engineering standards and requirements
Develop customer-facing technical documentation for safe operation and maintenance
Participate in on-site repair efforts and accident investigations as needed
Analyze damage and structural modifications to determine proper jacking, shoring, and repair methods
Design interim and permanent structural repairs
Conduct basic static strength analysis
Develop non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures, tools, and standards
Requirements:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) processes (certification preferred)
Familiarity with metallic and composite structure repair processes
Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience performing basic static strength analysis
MRB Certification strongly preferred
