Summary: 

• Develops and devises engineering dispositions for the E7 Aircraft in BDS production line.

• Designs structural repairs and conducts simple static strength analysis for aircraft structures.

• Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis, and develops dispositions for design non-conformances.

• Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational, and quality issues and designs interim and final engineering solutions.

• Identifies, documents, and analyzes reported problems and communicates deviations that could impact design intent and safety, and manages resolution.

• Develops and implements product and process improvements.

• Analyzes damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring and assures a safe work environment.

• Develops non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards.

• Develops troubleshooting approaches for electrical, communications, and mission systems faults.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

• Prior MRB (Material Review Board) or product review experience in aerospace engineering.

• Experience designing structural repairs and performing static strength analysis.

• Experience with root cause analysis and developing dispositions for design non-conformances.

• Experience with non-destructive test procedures and standards.

• Experience troubleshooting electrical, communications, and mission systems.

• Willingness to travel to the UK approximately 25% of the year.

• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance after start.
