Summary:
This role will support client's electrification initiatives by ensuring Battery, Charger, and Powertrain systems comply with applicable industry safety standards and regulatory requirements. The engineer will collaborate closely with design and development teams to review product requirements, conduct risk assessments, evaluate compliance, and provide guidance on product safety and regulatory matters throughout the development lifecycle.
 
Responsibilities
  • Review product requirements and perform structured risk assessments to identify appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Support engineering teams in developing technical documentation and compliance reports.
  • Conduct standards evaluations and compliance reviews for electrified products.
  • Track action items, monitor project progress, and provide status updates.
  • Facilitate product review meetings and drive closure of compliance-related actions.
  • Provide guidance on safety standards, regulatory requirements, and engineering best practices.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (Master's Degree accepted with 3 years of experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Internship experience alone will not qualify.
  • Backgrounds in Product Compliance, Certification, Homologation, Functional Safety, or Risk Assessment are highly relevant.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional reviews, facilitate discussions, and drive action-oriented outcomes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering teams and navigate technical trade-offs.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience leading meetings, driving discussions, and ensuring project progress.
 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $47.00 - $48.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
