Chemetall U.S. Inc. is seeking a Product Safety Stewardship Coordinator at our New Providence NJ location to support BASF Chemetall business group by assuring product compliance to International Federal State and local regulations. As a Product Safety Stewardship Coordinator you create chemistry by... Support sales and marketing initiatives and day-to-day business operations. Communicate and work closely with BASF Groups. Apply core set of knowledge in the SAP systems and the interactions between modules operate in a cross-functional environment with significant involvement with Business Marketing & Supply Chain operating Manufacturing plants Sampling Customer Service teams both in the North American region as well as with global contacts in Europe Asia Pacific and Central & South America. Involved with the UN Global Harmonization System GHS to support exports for Europe and Asia Pacific regions. Responsible for creation updating and reviewing of OSHA WHMIS and NOM compliant Safety Data Sheets SDS and Labels. Assign NFPA 704 and HMIS hazard ratings to products. Apply knowledge in Biocide regulations FIFRA and PMRA. Responsible for regulatory review for new product introductions to North America. Address internal and external requests on NA regulatory affairs. Responsible for dangerous goods article release for 49CFR TDG IMDG and IATA. Responsible for substance registration under TSCA & CEPA including Low Volume and Polymer Exemptions. Manage product stewardship compliance and process improvement projects. Report obligations for TSCA Chemical Data Reporting and CEPA Section 71 Surveys. Provide business with regulatory insight troubleshooting and training. Responsible for process documentation and creatingimplementing SOPs. If you have... Bachelors degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Environmental Science or a related field of study or foreign equivalent and 5 years of related experience required. Experience must include three 3 years of product regulations regulatory affairs product stewardship or related fields in EHS Engage with global and regional business contacts working within a cross-functional multi-BU virtual and matrixed business environment SAP EHS module Global Trade Control System and Global Label Management and SDS creation Data extraction from SAP data analysis classification and labeling of mixtures according to the Globally Harmonized System GHS Creation of Safety Data Sheets and product labels based on country specific requirements Dangerous Goods regulations regulations affecting BASF products markets and system BASF Chemetall product families and the chemistry associated with them and managing projects. 5-10 domestic and international travel.
