Product Service Engineer 3
Location: Mossville, Illinois
Work Arrangement: On site, full time
Duration: 18 month contract
Schedule: Monday through Friday, first shift
Compensation: 59-62$/h
Travel: Up to 25 percent
Caterpillar is seeking a Product Service Engineer 3 to support global Mining Technology solutions, including MineStar hardware and software. This role focuses on diagnosing and resolving complex application and technical issues while partnering closely with dealers, customers, and internal engineering teams to ensure timely and permanent solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Investigate and resolve software and onboard hardware issues
• Manage incident cases to meet service level agreements
• Support New Product Introduction initiatives, including field development and field follow activities
• Serve as a technical liaison between product support, engineering, and implementation teams
• Communicate regularly with dealers and customers on issue status and resolution
• Identify product defects and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in a twenty four seven incident management environment
Qualifications
• 5 to 7 years of relevant technical or product support experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications
Preferred Experience
• Construction or mining equipment technology
• Jobsite networking or telematics systems
• Azure DevOps experience
