Product Service Support Technician

Piper Companies is seeking a Product Service Support Technician, with a background in animal handling, to join a life sciences services company located in Denver, PA through a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities of the Product Service Support Technician include:

• Receive, stock, rotate, and store supplies while supporting deliveries from internal and external sources.
• Maintain animal housing areas by cleaning and changing cages, operating sanitation and decontamination equipment, and ensuring compliance with biosecurity and disease prevention protocols.
• Collect, monitor, and accurately record environmental, facility, and operational data in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Support logistics and transportation activities, including constructing transport boxes, safely operating material-handling equipment, and coordinating the shipment of animals, samples, equipment, and consumables.
• Perform general housekeeping and waste removal while maintaining compliance with animal welfare, quality, health and safety, and regulatory standards.
• Provide operational support as needed, including weekend/holiday coverage and performing euthanasia in accordance with established protocols and regulations.

Qualifications for the Product Service Support Technician include:

• Experience in general labor, animal handling, pet care, or pet store environments preferred.
• Comfortable performing physical labor and supporting project-based work.
• Reliable and committed to completing assignments and projects through to completion.
• Adaptable, able to follow strict facility protocols, and capable of working in a structured environment.

Compensation for the Product Service Support Technician includes:

• Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
