Job Title: Product Software Integration & Test Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 12 Months

 
About the Role
We are looking for a Product Software Integration & Test Engineer to join our team in San Diego. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge products including smartphones, computing devices (laptops/servers), automotive infotainment & ADAS systems, and IoT solutions.
You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (Software, Systems, Hardware, Architecture, and Test) to deliver end-to-end product software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Software Integration

  • Integrate software components and configurations to meet product requirements
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD automation systems
  • Troubleshoot build failures and dependency issues
  • Develop and maintain build scripts for optimized software generation
  • Manage code using version control tools (Git, GitHub, Perforce)
  • Release and maintain software baselines
Product Software Testing
  • Perform sanity testing on incremental builds across devices and platforms
  • Identify and debug regression issues
  • Use debugging tools like JTAG, ADB, simulators, and log analysis tools
  • Develop automation scripts for testing and log processing
  • Create test plans and test cases for new features
  • Participate in design and code reviews
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of software integration, testing, and debugging
  • Experience working with Linux-based systems

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Linux OS (RHEL, Ubuntu, Yocto)
  • Hands-on experience with ARM64 or x86 platforms
  • Familiarity with debugging tools like TRACE32, OpenOCD
  • Experience enabling open-source software on hardware platforms
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
