Product Sourcing & Procurement Manager | Brooklyn, NY · $80,000–$120,000
About the Role We're looking for a Product Sourcing & Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and product development for a growing e-commerce business. This role works directly with overseas manufacturers, evaluates supplier quotes, negotiates pricing, and drives products from concept through production. We need someone proactive and analytical who's hungry to build strong supplier relationships and bring great products to market.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Supplier Relationships
Source new products and identify qualified manufacturers, primarily overseas
Build and maintain strong relationships with factories and vendors
Research market trends and competitive pricing to support sourcing decisions
Negotiation & Quote Evaluation
Obtain and compare factory quotations to ensure competitive pricing
Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and production terms with suppliers
Evaluate supplier proposals based on cost, quality, and overall value
Production & Coordination
Manage products from sourcing through purchase order placement and production
Coordinate with internal teams throughout the product development process
Monitor production timelines and resolve supplier issues as they arise
Travel to China approximately 3–4 times per year for up to two weeks at a time to visit factories and strengthen supplier relationships
Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience in product sourcing, procurement, or supply chain
Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers, preferably in China
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Ability to analyze quotes and determine overall value beyond just price
Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
Comfortable managing multiple products and supplier relationships simultaneously
Willingness to travel internationally several times per year
