Position: Product Specialist

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Reports To: Manager, Shows & Events

Description:

The Product Specialist position consists of a wide range of tasks and responsibilitiesrelative to product information for client brands, agencies, coordinators and other partners. The position includes but are not limited to: securing, building and maintaining both current and accurate vehicle information.

Essential Job Functions:

• Vehicle maintenance – identify open issues and facilitate resolution, refurbishment, auction and scrap of vehicles
• Vehicle conversions
• Coordinate new product launch vehicle builds to include identifying and executing vehicle build scope
• Ensure vehicle content is product correct
• Procure pre-production parts from OEM suppliers, engineers and other partners
• Act as a point of first reference for product questions
• Maintain and expand knowledge for product lines
• Build and maintain working relationships with product clients and OEM part suppliers
• Translate and be able to communicate complex product data to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with varying levels of management
• Maintain inventory of necessary parts
• Communicate project milestones
• Interact and network effectively within cross functional teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; some college coursework in related field (marketing, business, etc.) required

Requires the Following Skills:

• Excellent communication, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, email and written means
• Excellent customer service
• Must be able to multi-task while ensuring follow up and follow through on required tasks
• High degree of organization and ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
• Intermediate or higher skills with computer applications (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
