Position Summary/ObjectiveThe Product Specialist is responsible for the overall activities related to product formulation and testing requirements established in SAP. In addition, support investigation and answering of customer inquiries, providing local and national support for Operations, PM, Technical labs, NACS, Sales and CTS.Essential Job FunctionsSupport SAP formula, Quality test, specifications and methods entry across all Product lines.Monitor SAP Inquiry submissions for prompt investigation and processing to support optimal operation processing for customer orders.Support request for product cost simulations.Steward and analysis for SAP data integrity and reduced proliferation of products.Provide backfill support for other Product SpecialistSupport local manufacturing teams with product specific support in the areas of product substitution and quality control specifications.Support national laboratories in the building and extension of approved NPCT templates across NAI manufacturing sitesFacilitate local system (SAP) functions that are consistent with the role (inquiries)Work collaboratively with Operations, Sales, PM, Technical labs, RCML's and Quality.Other duties as assignedRequired Education and ExperienceHS Diploma or GEDStrong computer skills with various applications including Microsoft Excel and SAPAbility to extract data and run reports for data analysisFamiliarity with various Product lines / chemistries (water, solvent and paste inks) associated with our industry (flexographic solvent) a plusEnglish, Strong written and oral presentation skillsAdvanced project management skills / Strong leadership and coaching skills / math skills requiredStrong leadership and coaching skills a plusKnowledge of printing technologies (offset lithography, flexography, Gravure)Knowledge of manufacturing and QC processes, and colorPrior experience in inventory management / supply chain, colormatching labs, Quality Control, or Technical Laboratory environments is beneficial but not required.BenefitsWe offer a range of market-competitive total rewards that include merit increases, paid holidays, Paid Time Off, medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability benefits, 401(k)+match and life insurance.
