Product Support Engineer (Quality/Test Engineer 2 94693-1)
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Quality/Test Engineer 2. The work will be done onsite in Peoria, IL. This is a long-term position (12 months) that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $36/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
The Quality/Test Engineer 2 will serve as a key point of contact for technical product support, focusing on diagnosing and resolving product health issues across a wide range of industrial equipment. This role involves performing initial triage on product incidents, analyzing failure data, and coordinating with internal engineering teams to deliver both interim and permanent solutions. The engineer will work closely with dealer networks and cross-functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution and maintain high standards of product reliability and customer satisfaction. This position offers strong exposure to global product support operations, system-level troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform initial triage and documentation of product health incidents and service requests
Investigate technical issues using failure analysis methods and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and deliver solutions
Manage service requests from intake through resolution, ensuring timely and accurate communication
Maintain detailed records of product issues for tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience
24 years of product support, troubleshooting, or related engineering experience
Strong mechanical or product knowledge with hands-on equipment or machinery experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications
Experience with problem-solving methodologies and failure analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with dealer support networks or field service operations
Familiarity with product support systems and technical documentation tools
Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage stakeholder expectations
Background in heavy equipment, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred
