What a day looks like

You’ll start by reviewing test protocols, selecting the right equipment programs, and setting up fixtures for batteries, chargers, cable assemblies, amplifiers, and complete kits. Your morning might include Safety Assessment and First Article testing, then shift into United Nations Testing on cells and batteries. Throughout the day, you’ll capture data and turn it into insight using spreadsheets, databases, and Visual Basic routines to download, organize, and analyze results.

Afternoons are for accuracy: you’ll create and update standardized or special test reports aligned to our SOPs, verify instruments are within calibration, and confirm systems and components meet established specifications and customer protocols. You’ll document procedures, maintain precise in‑process and completed production records, and recommend improvements to the Quality Assurance Program. Expect hands‑on time with digital multimeters, thermocouples, environmental chambers, dial gauges, and data acquisition tools. As needs arise, you’ll jump in on other assigned duties, including occasional overtime or off‑shift work.

Core responsibilities

  • Execute physical and electrical testing across products, including Safety Assessment, First Article, and United Nations Testing on cells/batteries and other electronic devices.
  • Use spreadsheets, databases, and Visual Basic routines for data download, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Prepare/update SOP‑compliant test reports and special reports for assigned tasks and projects.
  • Interpret requirements for each task, escalating any nonconformances to work standards.

  • Comply with—and suggest enhancements to—the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; support overtime and off‑shift coverage when required.

What you bring

  • Associate degree in a related field or 3 years of technician‑level experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
  • Ability to interpret schematic, mechanical, and assembly drawings.
  • Foundational knowledge in electronic circuit testing, troubleshooting, and assembly across digital and analog circuits.
  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively.
  • Safe, efficient use of shop tools and test equipment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently perform to IPC workmanship and soldering standards (preferred).
  • Familiarity with electronic industry QA practices, including IPC standards.
  • Understanding of ESD mitigation processes and procedures.
