Job Description
We are seeking a Product Test Engineer 2 to support footwear product testing within a materials and mechanical lab environment. This role will focus on executing footwear testing, analyzing results, and communicating findings to cross-functional product creation and development teams.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in product/materials testing, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standard materials and mechanical testing on footwear products
  • Operate testing equipment including Instron machines
  • Collect, review, and analyze test data
  • Generate detailed reports and communicate testing results to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support product testing initiatives for global football (soccer) footwear products
  • Collaborate closely with product creation, development teams, and lab engineers
  • Assist senior engineers with testing-related projects and protocol improvements
  • Help identify opportunities to improve lab testing efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain testing documentation and ensure accurate reporting standards
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2 4 years of experience in product testing, materials testing, lab testing, or related engineering environments
  • Hands-on experience with materials and mechanical testing equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in ambiguous environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with statistical analysis of data
  • Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD
  • Prior footwear testing experience
  • Experience working with Instron testing machines
Team & Environment
  • Work directly with a team of approximately 9 testers and a lead engineer
  • Highly collaborative role with significant cross-functional interaction across product creation and development teams
  • Standard onsite work schedule at WHQ
  • No travel expected for this role
Must-Have Skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Hands-on product/materials testing experience
  • Data analysis and reporting experience
  • Ability to translate technical findings to broader audiences
