The Dahill Group is pleased to be assisting our client, a well-established and highly regarded Texas based E&P company in search of an exceptional Production Accounting Technician/Analyst.Position OverviewThe Production Accounting Technician/Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of daily and monthly production data. This position will be part of an exceptionally talented engineering team and will work closely with the Operations, Accounting, and Regulatory teams by maintaining allocation systems, validating field data, and preparing state and partner production reports. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across multiple software platforms and departments, thriving in a specialized Production Accounting Technician/Analyst role.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily surveillance within the field data gathering (FDG/FDC) system to identify, flag, and resolve discrepancies in data entry or allocation calculations.Interface with field personnel, SCADA providers, and software vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and complete production data.Update Field Data Capture (FDC) and accounting systems with new wells, recompletions, shut‑ins, facility changes, and removed assets, including allocation setups and modifications.Input well test data into the allocation system and update gas meter full‑wellstream factors accordingly.Monthly Allocation & ReportingSubmit monthly allocated production volumes to Accounting, Operations and Engineering teams.Review plant statements, purchaser/settlement statements, and compare measured volumes for accuracy and reconciliation.Review monthly take‑in‑kind imbalance statements and route for approval.Regulatory SupportProvide production information and backup documentation for all regulatory filings.File well test results with the Texas Railroad Commission (TXRRC).Prepare and file monthly production reports with the TXRRC.Prepare and submit monthly gas allocation reports to gas gatherers as required.Data Maintenance & CommunicationMaintain and routinely distribute well status lists and shut‑in well lists.Update accounting system files (Quorum) as wells are drilled, recompleted, or plugged.Coordinate with internal teams to ensure production reporting deadlines are met.Required Qualifications5–10 years of experience in production accounting, operations support, or related oil & gas role.Working knowledge of production data systems, measurement practices, allocation processes, and FDC programs.Familiarity with field operations terminology and facility configurations.Strong Excel skills and familiarity with production accounting software.Understanding of SCADA and well test data.Ability to interpret plant statements, purchaser statements, and production volume reports.Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.Basic understanding of data structure and management.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) filings – critical.Prior work with Haynesville assets or similar unconventional plays highly desired.Core CompetenciesAccuracy & Attention to DetailProblem Solving & Critical ThinkingData Integrity & Quality ControlTechnical & Analytical AptitudeOffice based hybrid, remote or in corporate office, with regular field personnel communication.Regular collaboration with engineers to investigate data concerns.Occasional travel to field sites or operations meetings may be required.CompensationBase Salary: $85k–$115k – based on experience and background.Target Annual Target Cash Bonus Range: 5%–10% – range based on experience and industry specific skills.Additional Benefits Include100% Employer paid Health insurance for employee, spouse and children.401K employer match the first 1% at 100% and then next 6% at 50%.Pension eligibility after completion of 1st year of employment.Additional Notes on Location and Work ScheduleRequired to work in the corporate office in Longview, Texas for those within 40 miles of Longview – Ability to work remotely from Dallas‑Fort Worth, or Shreveport LA area with a 1 week per month requirement to work in the corporate office in Longview.#J-18808-Ljbffr
