Production Analyst

Clayton Services is searching for a Production Analyst to join a growing energy organization in Northwest Houston. The Production Analyst will be responsible for reviewing oil and gas production data, reconciling volumes, preparing regulatory filings, and maintaining accurate production records for producing assets across multiple states.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000/year
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Production Analyst Responsibilities:

• Review daily and monthly oil and gas production reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Enter, organize, and maintain production data used for internal reporting and regulatory filings.
• Transfer production information from field and operational reports into required regulatory reporting systems.
• Reconcile production volumes against tickets, statements, and other supporting documentation.
• Identify discrepancies in production data and assist with researching and resolving variances.
• Prepare and submit production-related regulatory filings for properties located across multiple states.
• Maintain organized production records, reports, regulatory documentation, and supporting files.
• Perform extensive spreadsheet work using Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and reconcile production information.
• Scan, organize, and maintain electronic reports and supporting documentation using Adobe Acrobat and other office software.
• Work closely with production, accounting, and operations personnel to ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist the production and regulatory team with special projects and general departmental responsibilities as needed.

Production Analyst Skills and Abilities:

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile large amounts of data.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and accurately reconcile production volumes.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain detailed records.
• Comfortable working with regulatory filings, reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to learn industry-specific production and regulatory processes and systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to assist with a variety of departmental responsibilities.

Production Analyst Education and Experience:

• 2-3 years of relevant production, regulatory, oil and gas, accounting support, data analysis, or similar experience preferred.
• Previous oil and gas industry experience is preferred but not required for a candidate with strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Bachelor's or associate degree is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with production reports, regulatory filings, volume reconciliation, or similar data-intensive processes is a plus.
