As a Shakeout Operator, you'll be essential in supporting the metal casting process. Youll work closely with team members to operate equipment, safely handle materials, and ensure production standards are met. Your contributions will help ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations each day.
What You'll Do
As a Shakeout Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Operating forklifts and other heavy machinery to safely move molds, raw materials, and finished castings within the foundry.
- Assisting with removing castings from sand molds after cooling, ensuring both quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Supporting the separation of castings from sand during the shakeout process, preparing them for finishing.
- Helping transport materials and finished products to the next stages of production.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area at all times.
- Following all safety procedures and production policies to uphold a safe and efficient workplace.
What You'll Bring

- Basic experience or the willingness to learn operating machinery in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Forklift experience is a plus; training may be provided if needed.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
