Production and Industrial - Operator II, Manufacturing

Responsibilities: Ensure quality assay manufacturing by following standard procedures for: Dispensing of biological reagentsReagent and buffer preparationPrinting labels and labeling bottles, vials, and boxesPackaging, sealing, and scanning of assaysPerform production tasks on different product lines as neededResponsible for the safe and secure storage and monitoring of inventories, products as well as in-house suppliesSet up and operate equipment of moderate complexityUpdate raw material inventoriesAssist in processing of final productPrepare buffer solutionsAssist in keeping a safe environmentAssist in developing, writing and instituting necessary protocolsAbility to solve problems that may come up in the departmentAble to efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyAssist supervisor in all aspects of manufacturing processesMaintain confidentiality of laboratory data and processExpected to maintain work schedules as assignedAll laboratory personnel are expected to notify their supervisor or manager of any unsafe conditions and/or practices and to take appropriate corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher learning institution in the Biological Sciences, Chemistry or related fieldTwo (2) years of laboratory experienceKnowledge of laboratory procedures and practicesBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelOrganize self and maintain assigned work schedulesRead, understand and implement written laboratory proceduresAble to handle and work with biological and chemical reagents

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:Frequently work at laboratory workstation, low temperature freezers, and computer workstationsSome lifting of objects including laboratory instrumentation of 35 poundsThis position has not been budgeted for relocation
