Job Description:

· Location and/or time zone: Onsite at WHQ (Traditional hybrid model with Fridays remote).

· NOT open to relocating candidates, must be local to Portland area.

· Reason for opening: Current ETW will be transitioning to a different role

· Expected contract length: 3 months from start date

· Team details & who they will work with: Design Production Art Department, supporting Sport Tennis category, Design AP Excellence, Production Artist Apparel Digital Design, Production Team supporting Running/ Training

· Education: Bachelors or equivalent exp

· MUST include portfolio

Non-negotiables Top 3 skills:

· Understands and uses Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Suite, has experience building Apparel, Trim, Screenprint Schematics

· Is a self-starter and independent leader (can support themselves and an entire Design team, proactive)

· Has Graphic Design background AND experience working on Apparel (experience with 3D Apparel programs like CLO is a bonus)

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:

· You will report directly to the Production Art Manager or Senior Manager, while working in collaboration with fellow Graphic Production Artists and Graphic Designers.

· Your primary cross functional partners will be Apparel Design, Graphic Design, Product Management, Technical Design, PCC Development and Material Development.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

· We are looking for a Production Artist II to join the Apparel Graphic Production team.

· We are looking for a designer who loves the technical details of the graphic process.

· We are experts at putting art on both physical prototypes and digital renders. This role amplifies graphic design by delivering flawless, production-ready files.

· They are a trusted resource within the team, creating detailed and accurate graphic schematics, with the ability to run point for Production Art within given categories by attending meetings, identifying personal action items, and being available as the go-to graphic production resource for a greater, cross-functioning team.

· This candidate needs to have a creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, while keeping production moving forward.

· Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

· 3 years of experience in a design and/or production environment

· Advanced knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite

· Understanding of product lifecycle and key deliverables

· Knowledge of graphic applications such as ink types and trim substrates

· Strong listening, communication and organizational skills

· Ability to navigate ambiguity while continuing to collaborate with the team

· Laser focus on the critical details that often get missed

· Ability to multi-task amidst competing priorities

· Curiosity for learning and building a strong design community

· Experience in 3D apparel programs (CLO or Browzwear) is preferred

· Understanding of Smartsheet, Airtable, and Miro is a plus

· A love for sports is a bonus but a love for design is essential

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

· If this is you, we will be hiring for a Production Artist II role to work on highly visible product across Cut & Sew and Tees, in the following sport offense: Tennis.

· This is where sport, design and culture meet and where we are redefining graphics for both athletes and consumers.

· You will work with Design to create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product, from on athlete to retail.

· You will be inspired and challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences.

· You will do this by leveraging 2D and 3D tools.

· A typical day could include Production Art meetings and alignment, high-volume schematic creation and lay-down product page creation, creating documentation for downstream partners and reviewing strike-offs.

· In addition to creation, you will be responsible for tracking and maintaining updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval.

· You will learn new tools and advocate for efficiencies in the product creation life cycle.
