The Defense Systems Division is part of the Parker Aerospace Group, located in Irvine, California. Our products are used across military and commercial platforms globally. We specialize in cutting edge thermal management systems and components including fans, pumps and compressors, ammunition handling systems, weapon scoring systems, dynamic pressure sensors, piezoelectric accelerometers, towed targets, reeling machines, and associated telemetry.

Production Assembler 2 (Blue Room) - Defense System Division
Position Summary/Essential Functions:
Works under general supervision and is responsible for work output. On a production basis, performs medium electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work. Semi-repetitive to repetitive-type work. May make simple decisions but must generally follow well established precedents.
Responsibilities:
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good understanding of ESD controls, soldering, epoxy mixing, bonding, assembly and packaging techniques, as well as handling of classified assemblies.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three (3) or more years of related electronics assembly experience. J-STD-001 Certification preferred.
The company must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply commonsense to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
This position may interact with other departments within the Company, such as Quality, Production Control and Engineering. The position requires strong cooperative teamwork, as well as the ability to work independently.
Must be able to operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multi-meters, up to 12kv Hypot, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns and common hand tools.
