Production Assembler, 2nd shift

Production Assembler

Location: Hamilton, OH 45015
Pay Rate: $17–$19/hr, based on experience
Shift Differential: 2nd shift receive an additional $3.00/hr
Total Compensation: $20 - 22/hr, paid weekly
Schedule:  Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM

• Possible overtime on Fridays

Summary

Assemble components into subassemblies and finished products according to shop orders, drawings, and specifications while meeting production, quality, safety, and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components according to prints, shop orders, and inspection requirements.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools safely and effectively.
• Read and use a tape measure to verify product specifications.
• Read and understand basic drawings and assembly instructions.
• Inspect completed products for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform rework on nonconforming products when required.
• Complete quality forms, inspection records, and production documentation.
• Maintain production standards and work at various workstations as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist with training new employees when assigned.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to read drawings, measurements, and written work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands, fingers, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 35 lbs regularly.
• Adequate close, distance, and peripheral vision for inspection and assembly work.
