Position Overview
Velocity Flex is hiring Production Line Assemblers to work in NW Houston on a long term contract opportunity. Assemblers will work throughout the production line, helping build and assemble equipment while following established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position suited for dependable individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities

• Assemble components and subassemblies along the production line.
• Use hand tools, power tools (torque wrenches) and other equipment to complete assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and work instructions as required.
• Follow production procedures and meet established quality and productivity expectations.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and report defects or assembly issues.
• Move between production stations and departments as assigned.
• Safely handle materials and components, including lifting items weighing up to 50–80 pounds.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all facility safety policies and supervisor instructions.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools or learn their proper use.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, or assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
• No specific education requirement.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50–80 pounds, as required.
• Work may take place in areas that are not consistently climate-controlled.
• Employees may be reassigned to different production areas based on operational needs.

Schedule

• First-shift opportunities.
• Initial safety training: 7:00 AM–2:00 PM on the first day.
• Regular work schedule is assigned following the first day of safety training.
• Employees should be prepared to work approximately 4–5 days per week, with shift hours and overtime determined by production requirements.

Required PPE

• Steel-toe boots.
• Long-sleeved shirt.
• Long pants.
