Summary:

Production Assembler II must have the ability to read manufacturing work instructions, engineering drawings, routings, and bills of material. Assemble electrical/mechanical components and products based on work order, manufacturing work instructions, engineering drawings, and bills of material. Perform manufacturing testing of product and maintain Quality performance. Document manufacturing or quality issues using the appropriate procedures. Recommend improvements to the build process or production methodology.

What you’ll do

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test units that comply with work instructions and quality procedures. Testing includes HIPOT testing, electrical safety testing, and calibration using various testing equipment.
  • Assemble and test electro-mechanical components and assemblies that comply with work instructions, bills of material and quality procedures.
  • Assemble, pack, label, and inspect consumable products that comply with work instructions and quality procedures.
  • Must be able to properly and safely use all standard hand tools including, screw drivers, wrenches, ratchets, wire cutters, cordless screwdrivers, and crimpers.
  • Prepare units for final quality inspection according to current policy and procedure.
  • Routinely perform cycle counts in a designated work cell.
  • Keep area clean and organized and be an active participant in our lean manufacturing continuous improvement program.
  • Trained to assemble, calibrate and test the majority of the product lines, including critical electrical/mechanical components used in Production.
  • Trained to assist Service department with occasional repair of instruments and/ or component assembly and test.
  • Assist Engineering and provide necessary input in process and product development.
  • Operate automated line which produces consumable products, package, and label according to work instructions.

What we are looking for in you

  • List Qualifications/Requirements for role
  • Physical Requirements for this role include:
    • Three to five years small assembly experience.
    • Experience in crimping, soldering, and assembling cables and harnesses.
    • Interpret work instructions and engineering drawings in the English language to successfully assemble product.
    • Ability to verify and inspect previous builds.
    • Participate in 5S and ESP activities.
    • Knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • Solid mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand tools and gauges to properly set up, operate, and troubleshoot related equipment.

Work Location: on-site in our Norwood facility 5 days/week (M-F)
Targeted Salary Range: $22- $25/hour
Working Hours: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
