Education & Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED preferred. Previous food service experience is required, and meat slicing experience is preferred. ServSafe Certification is preferred. Must be able to read and operate a digital scale, perform basic math calculations, and accurately count large quantities of food products and supplies. Must be able to operate general office equipment. Must be able to stand for 3–4 hours at a time and work in a fast-paced environment requiring frequent twisting, turning, and repetitive movement. Must have excellent manual dexterity and the ability to occasionally lift up to 80 pounds. Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
Essential Functions:
- Open and stage meats and cheeses according to the daily slicing schedule.
- Wash and drain condiment items for use with food packaging equipment.
- Set up production line tables with utensils and raw materials prior to the start of hoagie and pizza assembly.
- Restock production line tables throughout hoagie and pizza production.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify the supervisor of shortages or low stock.
- Pull individual sales orders and stage them for loading.
- Assist with loading and jockeying delivery vehicles according to the daily delivery schedule.
- Verify that delivery paperwork is complete and placed in the vehicle before departure.
- Unload, receive, inspect, and rotate incoming raw materials.
- Operate and perform tooling changeovers on production equipment, including floor slicers, hand slicers, condiment packaging machines, dressing packaging machines, chopper/shredders, dressing mixers, and dish machines.
- Prepare and process food products for packaging or production as directed by the supervisor.
- Produce all products in accordance with company specifications and quality standards.
- Assist with production line operations as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and accurately enter quantities into the computer system as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment throughout production.
- Restock processing supplies and disposable items, including gloves, paper towels, absorbent pads, and film wrap, in all pre-production areas after production is complete.
- Clean and sanitize machines, equipment, utensils, tables, sinks, walls, floors, and drains in accordance with the company's sanitation program.
- Complete and maintain all required production and food safety documentation.
- Perform all assigned duties accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
- Follow all company policies related to personal safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
- Comply with all food safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Maintain the confidentiality of all company recipes and proprietary information.
