Salary: $16.60 Hourly Location : 3700 W. 103rd Street, Chicago, IL Job Type: Student Employment - Summer Job Number: 01463 Department: University Relations SE Opening Date: 05/29/2026 Summary Production assistants are valuable assets to a production team assisting in a variety of tasks related to content creation including pre-production, camera, lighting, sound, editing, post-production, and delivery. The Production Assistant Intern works directly with Production Services staff to assist in the creation of multimedia content for marketing. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and setting up equipment for shoots
Operate production equipment when assigned
Aid in monitoring shoot schedules and shot lists
Transfer and log files
Archive files at the completion of projects
Help maintain and organize equipment
Other production duties as assigned
Qualifications
MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY Must be Federal Work Study Eligible Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter
Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently.
Able to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems in a range of production environments and communicate the problem and suggest a resolution.
Passion for photo/video content creation.
A basic understanding of production concepts and software is preferred, but not required.
Must be able to communicate professionally.
